The TP-DCDC-2448-HP from Tycon Power is an economical, high-reliability solution for integrating Power over Ethernet (PoE) from 24V battery systems. This unit features an integrated PoE injector and is available in both passive PoE and 802.3at configurations.
It is equipped with dual inputs, facilitating primary and backup power source connections. The device accepts data input through a shielded RJ45 jack and provides data output and PoE power via a separate RJ45 output jack. Power is delivered over Ethernet using pins 4 and 5 (V+) and pins 7 and 8 (V—).
The TP-DCDC-2448-HP includes comprehensive protective features against surges, short circuits, and overloads, with a maximum power output of 35W. Notably, the isolation between input and output allows for accommodating negative voltages on the input side while enabling positive voltage output, catering to systems operating on negative voltage.
A POE-SPLT-S splitter can be used to separate the data from the DC voltage at the remote end for applications where the remote device does not natively support PoE. Additionally, if the remote device requires reverse polarity, the POE-XOVER-S cable is available.
