AFL Single-Mode Optical Loss Test Set

The AFL CKS2-00-0902PR Contractor Single-Mode Optical Loss Test Set combines CSS1-SM dual laser source and CSM1-2 power meter into a single package.

This AFL Contractor Series Single-Mode Test Kit is a cost-effective solution designed for measuring insertion loss in single-mode fiber optic links. It has features such as reference power level storage, long battery life, automatic power-off function, and a battery gauge.

The kit includes one light source, the CSS1-SM, which offers dual output 1310/1550-nm laser from a single output port. The CSS1-SM is designed for single-mode fiber. The light source supports continuous wave (CW) and user-selectable modulated tone modes, has a backlit LCD display and an output port that is stabilized to ensure accurate test results according to TIA/EIA requirements. The CSS1-SM has a Universal Connector Interface (UCI) base and an SC adapter. The CSM1-2 optical power meter included in the kit can identify fibers using test tone detection at frequencies of 270 Hz, 330 Hz, 1000 Hz, and 2000 Hz. It operates at wavelengths of 850 nm, 1300 nm, 1310 nm, and 1550 nm and stores optical references for each calibrated wavelength. All the components in the kit are compact, suitable for field use, and fully N.I.S.T. traceable.
