The Adtran 601qv is a simple Optical Network Terminal (ONT) with just one 2.5GE port. While this may seem limiting at first, it still retains all of the data and video functionality expected from a carrier-class product, and allows service providers to leverage existing residential gateway vendors that they have depended on for years. Therefore the SDX 601qv allows service providers to easily keep up with an ever evolving wireless evolution without unnecessarily replacing the ONT or sending a technician to the home.
